Terms of use

Last updated September 23, 2026

MacLatch is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add a few points specific to MacLatch.

Use it on computers you're allowed to use

Connect only to Macs and servers that you own or are authorized to access. You are responsible for the accounts, passwords and keys you use, and for what you do in a remote session.

Your network, your route

MacLatch connects over routes you configure, such as your local network, a private network like Tailscale, or an SSH server. Those services are not provided by MacLatch, and their terms apply to your use of them. Route labels in the app describe what MacLatch can verify; they are not a guarantee about networks it cannot inspect.

Trial and purchase

The seven-day trial and the one-time unlock are in-app purchases sold by Apple under the App Store's terms. After the trial, starting new sessions requires the unlock. Refunds are handled by Apple.

No warranty

MacLatch is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for lost data, interrupted sessions, or actions taken on a remote computer through the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law of your country.
